Additional Information: Each student will have a 2 meter/ 440 HT to use during training. Student will learn how to program and use the hand held. We will discuss why they want to be a ham radio operator? We will see movies on how solar flares effect communication. Students will also in this class make contacts with ham radio operators in Canada and USA.
Also the class will cover Technician privileges on HF and 6 meters. Class will also cover what to do to prepare to take the Technician exam. Also, student will applie for their FCC FRN Number to have to take the class. US Band Plan will also be introduced, and how to use it.
